What is the CRPC® Designation

A Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) professional can help you uncover the challenges you may face and develop a strategy for confronting them. Financial Advisors with the CRPC® certification have in-depth knowledge of the investment planning process and are specially trained on the pre- and post-retirement needs of investors like you.

To earn this certification, a Financial Advisor must successfully complete intensive training offered through the College for Financial Planning. This training program covers many important investment planning concepts, including asset management, estate planning and retirement planning. CRPC® professionals must also pass a rigorous examination and sign a code of ethics.

What a CRPC® professional can do for you
To determine whether you’re on track to meet your specific retirement needs, a CRPC® professional can provide you with guidance in a variety of areas.

Retirement planning
You can get a projection of the future value of your current investment portfolio based on historical returns and a calculation of how much retirement income you can expect. In addition, you’ll receive an estimate of how long your current assets will provide your desired income during retirement.

Asset allocation
You can receive a snapshot of your current investment mix and recommendations on how you may reposition your assets to better achieve your objectives and lessen the amount of risk in your portfolio. Asset allocation does not eliminate market risk or uncertain return.

Estate tax projection*
You can see a calculation of your current and projected estate tax liability that illustrates how much of your estate you’ll be able to leave to heirs. Learn estate tax saving strategies and ways you can keep more money in your family.

Retirement planning for business owners
You can receive a no cost retirement plan proposals for SIMPLE IRAs, SEP IRAs and Owner-Only 401 (k) plans. The proposal includes information on features and steps to establish a plan.
